We were told the basics of action photography including knowing the way surfers ride waves so we could follow them. The various challenges were great and trying for portrait and angles were great. I learned about my equipment, in a gray morning I need to overexposed to get a good photo (positive exposure compensation) more than I thought and he helped me on that.

It was a new experience for me. I took me out of my comfort zone. Maybe because I was expected to spend more time on portrait photography of a model or ourselves, not reaching out to strangers :-) I still want to learn how I can do good portrait photography such as what positions would be great for pictures, so that if I have people asking me to take their pictures I have more knowledge on how to make it a great shot.

The goal was to capture portraits of strangers, which, as an introvert, is something I a more comfortable to do from a distance. The benefit though is a wide frame can provide context. This girl running up and down the stairs caught my eye, it was the perfect opportunity to show her in her environment, with the symmetrical patterns of the benches. I was lucky and snapped the photo when her dog was looking at her, providing a great story.

Decided to make a composite that resembles the photo that NASA took with their millions of dolllar photo equipment. 2 months ago I photographed the full moon and placed it on top of the most recent solar eclipse photo I took. The moon normally get its light from the sun so getting the perspective with moon visibility is impossible during an eclipse unless you have nasa gear.
